GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Callie Morrison led the Sabercats to their first win of the season last week, and the National Christian College Athletic Association has dubbed Morrison with the Student-Athlete of the Week Award.
The Junior from Jefferson, Wisconsin put up 24 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists while shooting 9-12 from the field as Maranatha upended Faith Baptist, 87-53. Morrison tied for the most points on the team on the day while leading the team in rebounds. The win moves the Sabercats to a 1-4 record for the season - it was their first game with their full roster this season.
Morrison passed 250 career assists on the night for good measure.
This marks the second weekly NCCAA award in Morrison's career.
