GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Claire Hansel was her usual dominant self on the court last weekend, and the NCCAA has taken notice yet again by naming her as the Women's Volleyball DII Student-Athlete of the Week.
The senior from Watertown, Wisconsin put down a career-high 27 kills in a five-set loss to Rochester at the Grace Christian Triangular last weekend, and she added 17 digs and three solo blocks for good measure.
The previous match, Hansel tallied 14 kills and nine digs in a straight-set win over Grace Christian. She averaged 5.13 kills/set, 3.25 digs/set, and attacked at a clip of 33 percent for the weekend as the Sabercats went 1-1.
This marks the second time this season that Hansel has earned the honor.
