A Nod for Johnson

GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Kelsey Johnson recorded a triple-double and three double-doubles last week, and she only needed three sets per match to do it.

The senior out of Daggett, Michigan was a key contributor to the Sabercats' 4-0 dominance at the Rockford Invitational, as Maranatha posted straight-set wins over Lawrence, Mount Mary, Moody, and North Central en route to a perfect weekend. MBU was the top team at the tournament, and Johnson earned all-tournament honors for her stellar play.

Johnson amassed 33 kills, 85 assists, 45 digs, and six blocks on the week. Johnson recently passed the 1,000 career digs mark and is on track to surpass 1,500 career assists this season.

The Sabercats will open their home matches tomorrow night with an 8:00 p.m. clash with Mount Mary. Watch and follow live at mbusabercats.com/schedule
