JOPLIN, Mo. -- The National Christian College Athletic Association has cancelled the remainder of the 2020 NCCAA DII National Basketball Tournaments.
The decision was made in light of the coronavirus outbreak, and it was announced this afternoon in a press release from the NCCAA.
"We are less logistically and contractually constrained than our NCAA and NAIA peers," said NCCAA Executive Director, Dan Wood. "But [we] felt that this was the best decision for our member schools, student-athletes, and the NCCAA, regardless of outside influences. We are certainly aware of the frustration and disappointment of participants and fans alike."
The Sabercats qualified for the NCCAA DII Final Four, and they conclude their season with a 20-3 record, which included a perfect 6-0 showing against NCCAA DII competition.
