Bueltel Earns Monthly Honor after Standout October

OVERLAND PARK, Kan. -- For her noteworthy performances through the month of October, Lexi Bueltel has been named as October's Student-Athlete of the Month for the AD3I.

Bueltel led the charge for the Sabercats, who faced a rigorous NCAA DIII schedule through the month.

The senior recorded 137 kills through 11 matches while boasting a .340 hitting percentage. Behind Bueltel's powerful attack, the Sabercats went 5-6 and took wins on the road at Rockford, Alverno, and Silver Lake.

Bueltel also recorded a career-high 24 kills in the Sabercats' 2-3 loss against Lakeland on Oct. 21.

The Michigander showed that her October was no fluke, as she was recently named as the NCCAA North Region Player of the Year. Bueltel led the Sabercats to straight-set wins in the NCCAA Regional Championship, and had an impressive line of 16-1-30 in the semifinal.

Over her career, Bueltel has amassed 963 kills and 323 blocks, and will look to add to those numbers at the NCCAA DII National Tournament Nov. 16-18.
